Bauxite Aluminium Ore

Bauxite is the principal raw material in the production of alumina. Beyler’s bauxite reserves are of diasporic type only and we offer our customers product variety, quality and consistency according to their needs, along with high standard business ethics.

Production

Beyler Metal Madencilik AS produces bauxite from both open-pit and underground mines. Due to its high quality, our bauxite production allowed us to quickly become a key supplier in Europe, Middle East and North African regions for our Type60 grade bauxite. Today with the increasing demand from China, we are investing.

Solutions

Alumina production. Our bauxite, due to its high alumina content is widely used as the primary raw material in alumina production. Other advantages for the use of Beyler bauxite are the low SiO2 & CaO content and the small loss of ignition and moisture values.

Calcium Alumina Cement Additive (CAC). Beyler’s bauxite is a unique raw material used in the production of high-iron type aluminous cements (or Calcium Alumina Cements). Bauxite is the primary material for the production of Aluminous Cements and its main advantages are the lumpy form and the high temperature breakdown strength. Aluminous Cements achieve high strength within 24 hours after casting and the structure supports can be removed so construction can continue. Along with refractoriness and acid resistance this type of cement provides improved durability in sulphate bearing environments and also in severe chemical and abrasive environments. Aluminous Cements are used also in refractory concretes, where they combine the advantage of casting complex shapes at ambient temperatures with performance up to temperatures of more than 1500 Celsius.

Portland Cements Additive. Beyler’s bauxite is used as a high alumina source to adjust the feed for clinker production when the alumina content of the clay or shale feedstock is too low for the formation of the required alumina phases during sintering of the clinker. Main advantages of using Beyler’s bauxite are the high Fe2O3, low silica, alkali and MgO content.

Iron-Steel Slag Optimizer used in Blast-Furnaces. Using Beyler’s bauxite offers significant operational advantages and cost savings to the blast furnace operation and improves the hydraulic properties of the granulated slag used in slag cements production.

Mineral Wool. Bauxite is a high Al2O3 source for the production of mineral fibers. Bauxite is added to the feed if the Al2O3 content of the furnace does not reach the satisfactory value. High alumina mineral fibers have improved bio-solubility and refractoriness. Our bauxite has the desired lumpy form, high tumbling index and the specific granulometry required by customer for the production of mineral fibers.
